„American Shoes“
Liedtext
Album: American Shoes SP CD
This song plays at Tara's birthday party at the Bronze.
hey, my head spins at the thought/that i'm sleeping my way out of this rut/stealing, so we could be together/losing, so we would never part/we wear american shoes/so we can't speak for anything/we talk, but we're really confused/so we won't speak for anything/don't ask me how I know/it's a feeling you get when you're down low/she says "your hands won't stick together/but your heart will stick like glue"/we wear american shoes/so we can't speak for anything/we talk, but we're really confused/so we won't speak for anything, we'll just sing/it's everything...

Liedtext
So dear to me/Always keep me company/Who needs to go outside/I will be your silent bride/I can't take my eyes off you/Nothing ever needs to be said/You send your message/right into my head/You fill me up when I'm alone/So soothing is your monotone/I can't take my eyes off you/I can't take my eyes off you/So maybe you're not as real/as the others/But I choose you over all my past lovers/For they have come and they have gone/but I can always turn you on/I can't take my eyes off you/I can't take my eyes off you
